The spontaneous nature of what we are…

The other day, as I opened to a new painting, I asked “What is the highest opportunity for relating with Humanity at this time?”

As I began to open, I started to feel my root chakra expanding, as my roots began sinking deeply into the earth. As my body became relaxed and free of thoughts, I invited my body to open naturally, inviting all my cells to awaken.

Within moments, I saw a vision of a temple. What started out to be one temple, became many. As I reached out for a paintbrush, I spontaneously dipped it into the paint, while witnessing the paintbrush dancing freely upon the paper.

Before my eyes, a temple came to life. A fire red dome-shaped structure appeared with an arched doorway in the center. Inside the doorway, I saw several beings of light beginning to form. Below the temple, a giant orange triangle birthed, naturally grounding the structure within Mother Earth. On both sides of the temple, soil appeared with seeds waiting patiently to be planted.

As I held the painting up to witness as an opportunity to feel it’s essence, I could feel my roots deepening within the earth’s soil, through the crust of Mother Earth in a very graceful, yet powerful way. I then placed the painting upon the altar, to “be” for a while, moving forward with the next adventure of my day.

A few days later, I arrive in Topanga Canyon for a co-creative meeting with some of my allies and partners. The intention was to gather, share and potentially plant the seeds for new projects and creative endeavors. Upon arrival, I couldn’t help but notice the amazing doorway before me. The front door to the house was carved with intricate designs and adorned with a three dimensional buddhist sculpture functioning as a door handle, graciously there to greet it’s guests.

As I walked into this magical space, I felt the presence of a temple. It was abundant with life and creativity. The walls and hidden nooks were adorned with wild animal sculptures, masks and metal artwork of sacred beings. Each room felt unique. The house was comprised of many temples within it. The doorways to the office, bedroom and bathroom all had arched shaped openings that invited one feel as if they were entering it’s own separate temple, and yet they were all connected as one. The bathroom was divine! The bathtub was surrounded by windows, perched upon a cliff, with walls painted the color of sunshine and a feeling of being on top of the world.

As I witnessed and felt inside this great temple, I spontaneously awakened to the gifts of the painting that birthed a few days before. When we are what we are there is unlimited freedom in how we relate and how magic is created in our lives. There are no limitations to what we can be and how and what we choose to create.

Art is what make the world go round!

Art is felt through paintings, poetry, music, dance, and pretty much anything that expresses itself. When people dress, they make art. Making love is an art. Even driving on the freeway is an art. There is no limitation to what art can be.

Art can be sacred, silly, sad, political, spiritual, goofy, out of control crazy, and so forth. Art is a language. It is creative, with and without form. People are moved by art. A movement is art. Sitting at this computer and typing is a dance that carries sound and vibration through the air. How we pick up the phone when it rings is art. So, I think it is safe to say that everything is an expression of art.

Art is what  makes the world go round.
